For Business Partners
In partnership with Sierra Health Foundation and Sacramento County, Hmong Youth and Parents United’s COVID-19 Business Response Grants are intended to address the impacts of COVID-19 and to quickly provide financial resources to Hmong and other underserved businesses in Sacramento County that are facing economic distress/loss.
HYPU will be awarding $1,000 grants to eligible applicants to provide assistance with the operation of business during Sacramento County’s designation of Red Tier. Further, the applicant will be provided with COVID-19 education materials that will allow for their business and employees to take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Use of HYPU COVID-19 Business Response Grant funds:
Covid-19 Business Response Grants are intended to provide funding for Hmong and underserved businesses in Sacramento County to continue the operation of their business and deliver implementation of COVID-19 prevention and education training in their business operation as well as for their employees and community. COVID-19 Response Grants cannot be used for the following:
● Executive-Level Bonuses
Process and Deadlines:
● Application Available: October 13, 2020
● Deadline: October 23, 2020
● Grant Awards: October 30, 2020
Eligibility:
Before accessing and completing a COVID-19 Business Response Grant application, business applicants must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:
● Business entity with official business permit located in Sacramento County that has been economically impacted by COVID-19;
● Utilize response grant funds to provide and promote COVID-19 services, prevention, and
education to the employees and community in Sacramento County; and
● Agree to display COVID-19 translated information at business location and attend a 1-hour COVID-19 Prevention and Education Training.
Only completed applications submitted by the deadline will be reviewed. All COVID-19
Response Grant Business Partners recipients will be required to sign a memorandum of
agreement prior to receiving funds.
