Internship Cohort Fall 2020
Funded by the Sac Youth Works Fall Program, Sac Youth Pop Ups, and CalMHSA, thirty City of Sacramento youth were selected to participate in a paid internship with Hmong Youth and Parents United. Youth are provided mental health check-ins and opportunities to build upon their working experience through the collective planning and coordination of community events and activities.
Twenty-five youth interns are split into three groups by age to receive mental health support and attain some knowledge on mental health to break the stigmas surrounding this sensitive topic.
