Hmong Enrichment Camp
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Hmong Enrichment Camp is an educational and enrichment program for students and parents that focuses on Hmong language, literacy, self-development, physical/mental wellbeing, and proactive parent participation. It started out as a summer camp in 2013 to support and address the needs of Hmong students in school.
Program Recap
Thank you to all the parents and students! Hmong Enrichment Summer Camp (HESC) 2022 was funded by Twin River Unified School District (TRUSD). HESC had over 100 students enrolled from TRUSD. During the six weeks, students learned how to read, write, and speak in Hmong; along with learning about Hmong instruments and history. In addition, students had the opportunities to discover themselves and build relationships with peers and parents through field trips, guest speakers, and activities.
