Position Summary
The Part-Time Program Coordinator will oversee HYPU’s Senior Wellness Day Program, which promotes health, engagement, and cultural connection for Hmong elders. This position plays a vital role in coordinating program activities, supporting client intake, and ensuring high-quality, culturally sensitive services. The coordinator will work closely with the Health and Social Services team to reduce isolation, enhance well-being, and connect seniors and families to needed resources.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily operations of the Senior Wellness Day Program, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with participants and staff.
• Lead client intake and assessment, ensuring accurate documentation and culturally appropriate support.
• Coordinate wellness, recreation, and educational activities that promote health, socialization, and cultural engagement among seniors.
• Maintain participant records and prepare reports on attendance, outcomes, and program impact.
• Connect clients with social services, healthcare, and community resources as needed.
• Collaborate with volunteers, interns, and community partners to enhance program offerings.
• Support outreach and marketing efforts to increase awareness and participation.
• Uphold HYPU’s values of equity, inclusion, and cultural respect in all program interactions.
Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology, health services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working with seniors, immigrant communities, or community-based programs preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Hmong preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry
Schedule and Compensation
• Part-time position (approximately 20–32 hours per week).
• Schedule includes in-person program days and some flexibility for planning and administrative work.
• Hourly pay commensurate with experience.
